Essential Job Functions

The Investment Advisor is an integral part of the Investment Advisory team. The team is responsible for providing financial guidance to families, individuals, and institutions regarding their portfolios and investment strategies. We are seeking a candidate that is highly motivated, has a positive attitude, willing to work in a fast-paced environment, and willing to grow and take on new tasks and assignments.

  • Provides sound financial advice to current and future clients.
  • Meets with clients to determine their financial objectives, risk tolerance, and future goals.
  • Implements investment strategies to help achieve clients' financial objectives.
  • Actively plays a role in the company's business development.
  • Ability to help provide guidance for clients' financial plans.
  • Member of the Investment Advisory Committee.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or other related areas.
  • Designations preferred: Series 65 – Uniform Investment Advisor Law Examination, CFP and/or CIMA and/or CFA (can be taken once hired).
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, CRM programs, the ability to learn and adapt to changes in technology.
  • Ensures confidentiality with respect to all information pertaining to clients and potential clients.
  • Possess a commitment to professionalism, honesty, and a strong work ethic.
  • Prior Financial Advisor experience is preferred.

Essential Job Functions
The Investment Operations and Trust Administrator plays a crucial role in managing the administration of trusts and estates, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. This role also will specialize in monitoring outside assets for the firm. This involves a combination of technology, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance, effective oversight, and client satisfaction. We are seeking a candidate that is highly motivated, has a positive attitude, detailed oriented, and willing to grow and take on new tasks and assignments.

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of trusts, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the settlement of estates, including asset distribution, payment of debts and taxes, and final accounting.
  • Act as primary contact for clients, attorneys, and beneficiaries, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Work closely with legal and financial professionals to review estate plans, enhance operational processes, and improve efficiencies.
  • Oversee and verify the accuracy of outside investments, integrating data to provide a comprehensive view of client portfolios.
  • Assist in security reconciliation for data input, monitoring, and processing.
  • Work with operations team to verify software feeds for reporting of assets at various custodians and alternative investment providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree.
  • Strong understanding of trust and estate administration principles, including tax implications and fiduciary responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and systems used for trust and estate administration.
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin-specific trust and estate laws and regulations is preferred.
  • Financial and investment experience preferred with account and security reconciliation.
